As BAŞARI, we held the “Feedback Workshop for Finalisation of the Training Curriculum and Handbooks for Judges, Prosecutors and Candidates of These Professions” on 30 September 2022 in Ankara.
Judges and prosecutors from the Court of Cassation, 10th Penal Chamber of the Court of Cassation, Courthouses of Ankara and Ankara West, representatives from the Ministry of Justice and Turkish Justice Academy attended the workshop.
The workshop was held to present and discuss with the participants the training curriculum on drug addiction and drug offences and corresponding handbooks, which were prepared by the project’s experts, following the previous two workshops organised in March and May 2022.
Our experts who participated as speakers in our workshop were:
- Senior Judicial Development Expert Mr. Dorin Gabriel Muresan (Romania), who acted also as moderator of the workshop
- Senior Legal Expert Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fahri Gökçen Taner
- Senior Sociologist Dr. Deniz Kemik

The project delivered to the Turkish Justice Academy and the Ministry of Justice a new curriculum and handbooks with training materials, developed under 3 Modules: Module 1- Legal issues, Module 2- Drug Awareness and Module 3- Gender-Sensitive Approach to Drug Offender at the end of August. In this Feedback Workshop, the project experts debated on the feedback of the judges and prosecutors participants and on ways to integrate their opinions into the final version of the handbooks.
