Within the scope of the 3rd component of BAŞARI Project, the aim is to enhance judges’ and prosecutors knowledge, skills and awareness in dealing with addicted offenders.
The first activity organised was a 2-day workshop dedicated to Training Needs Assessment (TNA), in order to identify, in an interactive setting, the updated needs for further curriculum development and training materials for judges, prosecutors and candidates of these professions. In the plenary and group sessions, debates followed the various presentations, by taking into account the current systems and practices in the work of the participants. The project experts will prepare a TNA report, which will be submitted to the Justice Academy and will be finalised in common consultation. The report will be based on various sources of information, gathered from the workshop, from an internet-based survey for judges/prosecutors working in determined courts., applied prior to the workshop, and from bilateral meetings with the Justice Academy and the Court of Cassation.
