Second Cascade Training on Drug Addiction and Drug Offences is Completed!

As BAŞARI Project, we held the second Cascade Training on Drug Addiction and Drug Offences on 18-19 January 2022 in Ankara.

Candidates and some selected judges and prosecutors in Ankara Regional Court, representatives from the Ministry of Justice and Turkish Justice Academy attended to training.

On the first day of the training, an overview of drugs, the concept of drug addiction, the basic models of drug addiction, drug crimes in the Turkish Penal Code were discussed. On the second day of the training, the concept of “insistence” in the context of Article 191 of the TPC, the content of the decision to postpone the opening of the public lawsuit and the gender-sensitive approach to drug addicts were discussed.
