As BAŞARI Project, we held the first Cascade Training on Drug Addiction and Drug Offences on 13-14 January 2022 in Antalya.
Judges and prosecutors from different regions of Türkiye, representatives from the Ministry of Justice and Turkish Justice Academy attended to training.
On the first day of the training, the concept of drug addiction, the basic models of drug addiction, drug crimes in the Turkish Penal Code (TPC) were discussed. On the second day of the training, the concept of “insistence” in the context of Article 191 of the TPC, the content of the decision to postpone the opening of the public lawsuit and the gender-sensitive approach to drug addicts were discussed.
